Lifted Trucks in Texas
We Have Lifted Trucks For Hunting, Fishing, Mudding, Off-Roading, etc. Truck modifications and lift let you customize your pickup for specific activities. Here are the most common: • Fishing: Lift does not matter as much, but towing capacity does (so you can tow your boat). Other common customizations are bed liners, rod storage systems, cooler storage, lights, steps, etc. • Boating: You might want a bit of a lift to carry the weight of a bigger boat, but too much raise may be impractical. Again, tow capacity is obviously most important here. • Camping: If you're towing a trailer, you'll also want AC adapters and extra lights. The amount of lift is dependent on on where you want to go camping. You'll also want to consider a bed liner, steps, and other more family-friendly add-ons. • Hunting: A small lift could be necessary so you can get off-trail, but if you do not have a trailer might be less important. Bed liners and additional storage are key because you have to carry your deer back home when the trip is done. • Mudding/Off-Roading: Lift is probably most important for this. Your amount of lift will prevent your pickup from sinking into the muck and let you drive through swampy areas, muddy fields, or forests. You will need to raise your truck a lot and put on enhanced suspension parts (shocks, springs, etc.) if you are trying to really go off-roading. You'll also want bigger tires and perhaps a ladder to make it easier to get in. Wheels and tires come in a wide range of sizes, and you'll choose the ones that will best modify your pickup for its intended purpose or the look you are seeking. Contact Gilchrist Automotive at to set up a consultation. We'd love to assist you in putting together the lifted truck that's right for you.
Shop Lifted Trucks For Sale in Weatherford, TX Everyone knows that guys (and a lot of gals) like to modify their trucks from Buick, Chevrolet, GMC, Nissan, Volkswagen, Chrysler, Dodge, Ram, Jeep, Ford, Cadillac, Lincoln, Wagoneer, Toyota near Fort Worth, Dallas, and DFW. Truck kits are either for utility-to customize your truck for its intended purpose-or cosmetic to improve its appearance. Utility mods are more purely practical. For instance, light kits will improve your visibility when you are driving in the woods or fields after dark, and fog lights are helpful if you drive in the foggy season. As for the right amount of lift, a 2-, 4-, or 6-inch lift kit (or more) will provide you with more clearance for driving in rough conditions. And how much lift will look good even if you are just driving on city streets? That all depends on you. Lots of us just like the look our trucks and we want them to be a reflection of our personality. As a result, many customizations are purely aesthetic, even the the height of the lift. Elements such as window tint, fog lights, running boards and lift kits depend on personal preference, so at Gilchrist Automotive, we let you decide the best modifications for your pickup.
